COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
The Beer Store partners with a number of charitable organizations to help raise awareness and funds.
You can help change a life by donating year-round to the coin boxes found in every location of The Beer Store.
100 per cent of the funds collected are donated to our charitable partners.
As a part of your community, The Beer Store is proud to support these organizations.
The Beer Store is proud to support the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada, the charity of choice for our union, UFCW Local 12R24.
Their mission is to eliminate leukemia, lymphoma (Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin) and myeloma by funding research and promoting public understanding of the these blood cancers.
In 2010, The Beer Store hosted the Returns for Leukemia Bottle Drive, raising over $1,065,000 for the Society through the tremendous support of customers who donated their empties. The members of Local 12R24, their families and friends who were willing to donate their time and effort to the cause were the backbone of the tremendous effort. Combined with other initiatives, The Beer Store and UFCW Local 12R24's contributions raised over $3.5 million dollars.

The Ontario Community Council on Impaired Driving (OCCID) provides leadership and programs to eliminate impaired driving in Ontario.
Their arrive alive DRIVE SOBER® program promotes prevention strategies to reduce impaired driving fatalities. It encourages drivers to plan ahead, drink responsibly, use designated drivers, take cabs or stay overnight.
The Beer Store is proud to work with the Royal Canadian Legion in its annual Poppy Day Campaign.
Beginning each November, stores across Ontario display poppy boxes in communities where legions are found. The campaign raises awareness of the Poppy as a symbol of Remembrance.
The basic purpose of the poppy funds is to provide immediate assistance to ex-servicemen and women in need. This may include food shelter or medical attention for them or their families.
